Xiamen University (XMU) offers scholarships to outstanding international students to pursue degree programs at the university. The scholarship is awarded based on academic performance, language proficiency, and overall merits to attract top-tier international talent to study in China.
Eligibility Criteria
•Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health and possess a valid regular passport.
•Bachelor's degree applicants must hold a high school diploma and be under the age of 25.
•Master's degree applicants must hold a bachelor's degree and be under the age of 30.
•Doctoral degree applicants must hold a master's degree and be under the age of 35.
•Applicants must meet the specific language proficiency requirements of their chosen degree programs.
•Applicants must not be in receipt of any other scholarships simultaneously.
Financial Benefits
•Doctoral programs: First-class scholarship covers tuition fee and a living allowance (RMB 3,500/month); Second-class covers tuition fee only.
•Master's programs: First-class scholarship covers tuition fee and a living allowance (RMB 3,000/month); Second-class covers tuition fee only.
•Bachelor's programs: Covers tuition fee only.
•The maximum duration of financial support is 4 years for bachelor's, 2-3 years for master's, and 4 years for doctoral programs.
