The French Institutes for Advanced Study (FIAS) Fellowship Programme offers 10-month fellowships in one of the participating French Institutes (Aix-Marseille, Loire Valley, Lyon, Montpellier, Paris, etc.). It aims to support outstanding researchers from all over the world to conduct their research in an innovative and interdisciplinary environment.
Eligibility Criteria
•Applicants must hold a PhD plus 2 years of research experience at the time of application, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of full-time research experience.
•Mobility rule: Researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in France for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the application deadline.
•Open to highly qualified researchers of all nationalities.
•The programme is primarily dedicated to the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH), but applications from other sciences are welcome if they propose a dialogue with SSH.
Financial Benefits
•Net living allowance of approximately €2,700 per month.
•Accommodation provided or support for relocation.
•Coverage of travel expenses (one round trip from the fellow's country of residence to France).
