The Australian Government Research Training Program (AGRTP) Scholarships are specifically intended to support international students to undertake a Higher Degree by Research at Flinders University. The scholarship is highly competitive and awarded on the basis of academic merit and research potential.

Eligibility Criteria

Must be an international student (citizens of Australia and New Zealand and Australian Permanent Residents are not eligible).
Must satisfy the University's academic entry requirements for a Masters by research or Doctorate by research.
Must have successfully completed at least the equivalent of an Australian First Class Honours degree (this is a four year degree with a major research project in the final year).
Must meet the English language proficiency levels set by Flinders University for international students.
Must not hold an equivalent research qualification to the one being applied for.
Must not hold another equivalent scholarship or funding.

Financial Benefits

International tuition fee offset (covers full tuition fees).
A living stipend paid at the standard Australian Government rate (tax-free).
Overseas Health Cover (OSHC) for the student.
Establishment allowance (up to $1,485) to assist with relocation costs and airfares.
Support for up to 3 years for a Research Doctorate and up to 2 years for a Research Masters degree.
