•Open to students enrolled in a degree in life sciences, biology, biophysics, chemistry, bioengineering, bioinformatics, or related fields

•Applicants must have completed at least two years of undergraduate study at the time of program start

•Open to students currently in their Bachelor's or first year of a Master's degree

•Excellent academic record (typically in the top 5-10% of their class)

•Strong command of the English language (spoken and written)

•Must be available for the entire duration of the 8-week program (July to August)

The EPFL Summer Research Program (SRP) in Life Sciences and Technology offers an intensive eight-week hands-on research internship in world-class laboratories at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Participants work on independent research projects guided by experienced mentors and faculty members. In addition to lab work, the program includes scientific lectures, professional development workshops, networking sessions, and a concluding student symposium where participants present their research findings.

•Financial living stipend (approximately CHF 3,200

-CHF 3,400 for the 8-week period) to cover living costs

•Pre-arranged and reserved student accommodation in Lausanne

•Travel allowance covering international or domestic travel to and from Switzerland (up to CHF 1,000 for overseas or CHF 500 within Europe)

•Full access to EPFL facilities and participation in all organized social, cultural, and scientific activities
