The RIKEN International Program Associate (IPA) program is designed to foster young scientists by giving them the opportunity to carry out research in a RIKEN laboratory while enrolled in a PhD course at a Japanese or overseas university. It provides an excellent opportunity for international PhD students to gain research experience in a leading scientific institution.
Eligibility Criteria
- Non-Japanese nationality.
- Enrolled in a PhD course at a university (Japanese or overseas).
- Have an agreement with a RIKEN host laboratory.
- Demonstrate strong research potential.
Financial Benefits
Monthly stipend (¥170,000), support for housing costs, and commuting allowance. This is a fully funded internship/research stay for PhD students.
