The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic (NSP) is funded by the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic. It supports study, research, teaching, and artistic stays for international university students, PhD students, university teachers, researchers, and artists at Slovak higher education institutions and research organizations. Duration of stay varies from 1 to 2 semesters for university students, and 1 to 10 months for PhD students, teachers, researchers, and artists.
Eligibility Criteria
•University students outside Slovakia who have completed at least 2.5 years of university studies in the same study programme
•PhD students whose higher education or scientific preparation takes place outside Slovakia and who are accepted by a public, private, or state university or research institution in Slovakia
•International university teachers, researchers, and artists invited by a qualified institution in Slovakia to carry out a teaching/research/artistic stay
•Applicants must secure an invitation or acceptance letter from a host institution in Slovakia prior to applying
Financial Benefits
•Monthly scholarship for university students: €620 per month
•Monthly scholarship for PhD students: €1,025.50 per month
•Monthly scholarship for university teachers, researchers, and artists without PhD title (and < 4 years of experience): €1,025.50 per month
•Monthly scholarship for university teachers, researchers, and artists with PhD title (and < 10 years of experience): €1,370 per month
•Monthly scholarship for university teachers, researchers, and artists with PhD title (and > 10 years of experience): €1,470 per month
•Travel allowance for students and PhD students depending on the distance between home institution and host institution in Slovakia
