Details
The AKF ISP offers a limited number of scholarships each year for postgraduate studies to outstanding students from selected developing countries who have no other means of financing their education. Scholarships are awarded on a 50% grant and 50% loan basis. Applications for the 2027/2028 academic year are expected to open in January 2027.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be from eligible countries where AKF has programmes (including The Gambia and other African countries).
Have an excellent academic record.
Demonstrate genuine financial need.
Have admission to a reputable university for a Master's or PhD program.
Be under 30 years of age for Master's and 35 for PhD.
Financial Benefits
Covers tuition fees and living expenses. The scholarship is awarded on a 50% grant and 50% loan basis, repayable with an annual service charge of 5%.
