Details

The World Health Organization (WHO) Internship Programme offers students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain practical experience in global health and WHO's technical and administrative operations. Internships are offered at WHO Headquarters, Regional Offices, and Country Offices around the world. The duration of an internship ranges from 6 to 24 weeks.

Eligibility Criteria

Be at least 20 years of age on the date of application
Be enrolled in a degree programme at a university or equivalent institution leading to a formal qualification (undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate), or have completed a qualification within the last 6 months
Have completed at least three years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution prior to starting the internship
Be fluent in at least one of the working languages of the office of assignment
Not be related to a WHO staff member (e.g., parent, child, or sibling)
Have not previously participated in the WHO Internship Programme
Hold a valid passport of a WHO Member State

Financial Benefits

A living allowance (stipend) is provided to eligible interns depending on the duty station location
Health and accident insurance coverage is provided by WHO for the duration of the internship
Lunch vouchers may be provided in selected locations
