Eligibility
•Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or PhD programme, or have graduated within the past two years
•Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application
•Demonstrable interest in innovation, technology, venture capital, entrepreneurship, or international development
•Excellent academic performance, evidenced by recent academic records or institution reference
•Fluency in English (written and verbal); proficiency in another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) is an asset
•Have no immediate relatives (e.g., father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office
Details
The UNICEF Venture Fund makes up to $100K in equity-free investments in early-stage, open-source technology solutions that address challenges faced by children and youth worldwide. Interns with the Venture Fund at the UNICEF Office of Innovation contribute to identifying, funding, and supporting startups in emerging markets working on frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, extended reality, and data science.
This internship opportunity offers practical hands-on experience supporting portfolio management, scouting, technical due diligence, data analysis, and communications. The duration is 6 months on a part-time basis, with options for in-person work in Stockholm, Sweden, or remote engagement.
Financial Benefits
