The JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship for Research in Japan provides opportunities for highly qualified young researchers from other countries to conduct research in Japan for a period of 12 to 24 months. The program aims to promote international scientific cooperation and foster young researchers.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be a citizen of a country that has diplomatic relations with Japan.
- Hold a doctorate degree awarded within six years of the date of application (or be scheduled to acquire one before the fellowship starts).
- Have a research proposal and a host researcher in Japan.
- Excellent research record.
Financial Benefits
The fellowship is fully funded, covering: monthly maintenance allowance (¥362,000), international travel (a round-trip air ticket), and a research grant (¥1,500,000 per year).
