Details
The European Commission offers 5-month paid traineeships through two main strands: Administrative Traineeships and Translation Traineeships. Trainees work in European Commission departments, services, and executive agencies primarily located in Brussels and Luxembourg, gaining hands-on insight into EU policies and administration. Traineeships commence twice a year (March and October sessions).
Eligibility Criteria
•Have completed a standard 3-year higher education degree (minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 180 ECTS credits)
•Have no prior work experience of more than 6 consecutive weeks in any EU institution, body, agency, delegation, or office
•Demonstrate very good knowledge (C1/C2 level) of at least two official EU languages (for EU citizens), or one official working language (English, French, or German) for non-EU citizens
•For Translation Traineeships: ability to translate into your target language from two other official EU languages
•Open to both EU citizens and a selection of non-EU nationals
