The Australian Catholic University (ACU) Stipend Scholarship is offered to high-achieving research students enrolling in Higher Degree by Research (HDR) programs, such as Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degrees. The scholarship supports domestic and international research candidates by offering a living allowance stipend and tuition fee offset, enabling students to pursue high-impact research at ACU campuses across Australia.
Eligibility Criteria
•Applicants must be applying for or currently enrolled in a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) program (PhD or Master of Philosophy) at ACU.
•Must meet ACU entry requirements for HDR candidatures, including academic qualifications and English language proficiency requirements.
•Must hold an equivalent of First Class Honours or Second Class Honours Division A degree, or a Master's degree with a significant research component.
•Must enroll as a full-time candidate (part-time candidate status may be approved under exceptional circumstances).
•Must not be receiving an equivalent scholarship, award, or income providing a benefit greater than 75% of the stipend rate to support living costs.
Financial Benefits
•Annual living allowance stipend indexed annually (aligned with the Australian Government RTP stipend rate).
•Tuition fee offset covering 100% of tuition fees for up to 3 years for PhD candidates and 2 years for MPhil candidates.
•Relocation allowance for eligible candidates moving to an ACU campus location.
•Paid leave entitlements including annual leave, sick leave, and parental leave.
