The DAAD EPOS programme offers scholarships for a range of Master's and PhD courses in Germany that are highly relevant to the social, political, and economic development of the applicants' home countries. The specific deadlines vary by course, but many programs for the 2027/2028 intake will have deadlines in late 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must come from a developing country (including African countries like The Gambia).
Hold a Bachelor's degree (usually 4 years) in a related field.
Have at least two years of professional experience.
Meet the language requirements of the chosen study program (German or English).
The last academic degree should not be older than six years.
Financial Benefits
Monthly stipend (861 Euros for Master's, 1,200 Euros for PhD), travel allowance, health insurance, study and research allowance, and in some cases, tuition fee waiver.
