Details
AAUW International Project Grants provide financial support to women conducting community-based projects in their home countries. The grants encourage projects that promote education, self-reliance, and empowerment among women and girls. Supported projects address critical issues affecting women and girls in areas such as education, economic security, leadership, and health.
Eligibility Criteria
•Open to women who are non-U.S. citizens or permanent residents
•Must hold an academic degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree or be an alumna of an AAUW International Fellowship
•Must propose a community-based project that directly benefits women and girls in the applicant's home country
•Must plan to return to home country upon completion to pursue a professional career
•Must demonstrate commitment to the advancement of women and girls through civic, community, or professional work
Financial Benefits
•Grant awards typically range from $10,000 to $14,000
•Funds can be used to cover direct project expenses, materials, resources, and implementation costs
