Details
The Blue Book Traineeship program offers a 5-month paid internship at the European Commission. Trainees work in various departments, gaining practical experience in EU policy-making and operations. It's open to university graduates from around the world. The program aims to provide young graduates with a unique experience of working in an international and multicultural environment. The application period for the March 2027 - July 2027 traineeship session will be from July 2026 to August 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
Have completed a 3-year higher education degree (Bachelor's minimum). Have no prior work experience of more than 6 weeks in any EU institution, body, or agency. Have a very good knowledge of two official EU languages (one must be English, French or German; for non-EU nationals, only one EU language is required). Be a national of an EU Member State or a non-EU country (African countries are eligible).
Financial Benefits
Fully funded. Trainees receive a monthly grant (approximately €1,300-€1,400, subject to change), reimbursement of travel expenses to and from Brussels/Luxembourg, and health insurance coverage.
