Eligibility
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in wildlife ecology, biology, rangeland ecology, natural resources management, or a closely related field
•Minimum undergraduate/graduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
•Strong written and oral communication skills
•Demonstrated interest or background in field research, data collection, and quantitative ecological methods
•Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team under varying field conditions
•Possession of a valid driver's license (or eligibility to obtain one)
Details
The Department of Rangeland, Wildlife and Fisheries Management hosts graduate research assistantships focused on applied ecological research, natural resources conservation, wildlife ecology, and rangeland management. Graduate assistants work closely with faculty mentors on funded research projects, gain extensive field and laboratory research experience, and present findings at professional conferences while pursuing an advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.).
